"Que aburrida comer solo ensaladas, que atascada comer comida chatarra, baja de peso pero que no se te vean los huesos, no engordes pero ten curvas, ¡depilate! que asco el bello corporal, no te descuides pero no te arregles tanto que pareces urgida, córtate el pelo pero que se vea femenino, no te enojes, ¡sonríe!, se sexy pero no tanto, lee libros pero no te creas inteligente... Desde muy pequeñas nos bombardean con el deber ser femenino al punto de orillarnos a odiar nuestro cuerpo y apariencia, gustarnos a nosotras mismas es un acto de rebeldia. "Yo soy suficiente" es la afirmación que me ayuda a contrarrestar los estereotipos de la feminidad heteronormada que aún hoy socavan mi autoestima."

"How boring to eat only salads, how glutton eating junk food, lose weight but don't show your bones, don't get fat but have curves, wax your body hair because it's gross, don't neglect yourself but don't dress up so much that you look like your are asking for, cut your hair but make it look feminine, don't get mad, smile! Be sexy but not that much, read books but don't think you're smart... From a very young age we are bombarded with the "duty" to be pretty feminine to the point of bordering on hating our bodies and appearance, that's why liking ourselves is an act of rebellion. "I am enough" is the affirmation that helps me fight the heteronormative femininity stereotypes that still today undermine my self-esteem."
